American Idol Finale - Results

It's the finals results announcing Jordin's expected win. This will be one uneventful winner announcement. But let's see what other crap they throw in the show.


Wait a minute. They got Jordin and Blake doing a duet where Blake sings the lyrics "She was just seventeen..." OK OK, we get it already. She's only 17!


Gwen Stefani makes an appearance to perform her new single.


Kelly's back. Yay! Singing her new single Never Again. She's a rockin diva! Still looking like she's been making too many calls to Dominos delivery!


Omigod! Does Sesame Street know Big Bird is on the loose in L.A.? Well, I don't think Ryan cared much for the women anyway, but after this attack, I think I'm sure now!


It's the Top 6 guys singing Smokey Robinson songs. And are joined by Smokey himself. Sing it boyz! CAKE reunion!!

Blake has a beatbox showdown with the original human beatbox, Doug E. Fresh. It's Funky Fresh!! Ryan says people complained that Blake didn't get a chance to beatbox on the final song last night, so they are having him now. Yeah, now let him, after the voting is all over. Crazy fools!


The Top 6 gals are up singing with Gladys Knight. MELINDA!! Look at Jordin above. She's looking at Gladys like she's thinking "BIOTCH, don't steal my spotlight!"


Tony Bennett shows up to sing, since he was sick and couldn't sing when he was a guest mentor. Sing it Tony!


Fatt Mann and Bush Baby return. Hide the children! I'll have nightmares now!


Bebe and Cece Winans performs with Melinda. She used to sing backing vocals for them. Work it Melinda. The REAL American Idol winner!


Carrie Underwood returns and once again has HOT Fiddle Boy with her!! She sings her version of I'll Stand By You.


The Crypt Keeper...I mean Clive Davis comes on and basically says that Taylor Hicks sucks but Chris Daughtry is GREAT! I'll buy that. He presents Carrie with a plaque celebrating 6 million album sales.


Oh dear, Sanjaya is performing with Aerosmith. He even found "Crying Girl" in the audience, who was conveniently sitting right in front of Big Bird. I hope Crying Girl doesn't have any snacks on her or she will be gobbled up by the end of the show. Nothing left but a pile of yellow feathers!


Green Day are performing. Cool! I love me some Green Day!

I think they found a way to make Jordin not look like a chunky girl. Have her perform with Reuben "where's the all-you-can-eat buffet" Studdard!

You notice how they didn't have the usual live feeds from the final two's hometowns? In fact they didn't mention the competition of them two the whole night. They knew there was no point. Ok, time to announce the winner. IT'S JORDIN! Wow! I can't believe it! This really caught me by surprise! What a cliffhanger ending!! Ok, sarcasm over. Congratulations Jordin. Now where's the news on Blake's album!

So You Think You Can Dance premieres tomorrow. WOOT! That just got me outta the funk I was in!

American Idol - Finale

It the finals! Let's see how they do tonight, before Jordin wins tomorrow. Go Blake! And let the Jordin pimping begin!


They flip a coin to decide who chooses who sings first. Blake wins and asks Jordin what she wants to do. Then after evil looks from Ryan, he says he'll sing first. And he sings You Give Love A Bad Name again. I kinda figured he would. It was like the first time he sang it. Very fun and good.


Jordin sings Fighter and does some serious screaming. Simon calls her out on that too.


Blake returns singing another Maroon 5 song "She Will Be Loved". He did pretty well. He didn't throw in any craziness, but it was good. Work that sweater vest cutie!


Jordin returns singing A Broken Wing and does a good job just like her original performance of that song. Judges overall liked it a lot.



Blake is back with yet another sweater vest to sing the new song. And it's a sappy mess of a ballad that's perfect for Jordin. Totally not Blake's style. It's called "This Is My Now." This is my eardrums screaming! Ugh, that's almost as bad as "Do I Make You Proud". Poor Blake wants to have fun on stage and is stuck with this crap song to sing. He's ok, nothing great. He probably fell asleep from singing that song.


Jordin sings the lame ballad. It's more her style. She needs to stay away from the low notes, they were stank at times, but when she diva'd out it was good. Well, she's the only one of the two who could make that a hit probably. She starts crying near the end and cracking her voice. I guess she already knows that she's the winner tomorrow.

Kinda makes the two hour finale tomorrow kinda boring when the winner is so clear, but I'll still hope the Blaker girls come through. But if that crap ballad is a sign of what they have in store for the winner, I think Blake would be lucky to come in second place!

American Idol Top 3 - Results

Results time. This will be a close one. Will Blake be outta there or will he make the cut? We'll see.














Elliot Yamin is in the house with his new choppers and some crazy hair! Actually, his new CD is pretty good, and he sounded good tonight. Those new teeth are crazy white and big!













Shameless Ford plug commercial. The idols are little tots. Baby Blakey is rockin' out!














Next up, Maroon 5 perform. Adam Levine looks HOT! He got Paula all dancing. But then an old cardboard box would probably get her dancing too.













Well, Melinda is sent home. Ugh. Figures. Well, I hope she doesn't accept a contract from the Idol folks and goes out and gets a better one elsewhere!














So it's Jordin and Blake in the finals. Jordin is the pre-ordained winner, but I'll still be rooting for Blake anyway. Maybe Chris will be back to root him on too! GO CAKE!

American Idol - Top 3

It's down to the Top 3 and we'll see who goes on to the finals. Will the expected happen and Blake goes home or will they have the yearly shocker finally and Melinda goes home? Either way, Jordin's not going anywhere. The producers will see to that! Now that Lakisha is gone, who's going to take her place as "Boobs-A-Poppin"? Well Simon of course!


First up is Jordin Sparks. She sounded real good. Keep this up Jordin and I won't feel mad about you winning.


Next is Blake Lewis singing Roxanne. I hate that song. He sounded good. Of course, he's probably scared to death to beatbox. Judges were mixed with his performance.


Melinda Doolittle is next singing Whitney. She was great as always. Simon says she won round one.


On to the songs selected by the producers. First is Jordin Sparks singing Donna Summer. I'm surprised they didn't pick a diva song of Donna's. That sounded kind of ordinary. She was good, but nothing special.


Blake is next singing Maroon 5. It was a fun performance with just a little beatboxing thrown in. Good job. Judges all liked it.


Melinda is next working some Tina Turner. Wow! What a great vocal! That was the best so far! Video below.

Melinda - Nutbush City Limits

Now each are singing their favorite song. Jordin is first singing I Who Have Nothing. It was a very good performance, like last time when she sung it. Paula and Randy loved it. Simon thought it sounded to old fashioned for her.


Blake is next singing Robin Thicke. It was crazy, sexy, and cool! Great job! Video of the song below, plus a little Baby Got Back!

Blake - When I Get You Alone

Last up is Melinda doing I Am Woman one more time. She was sassy again! Great as usual.

It's tough calling it at this point. I feel the two who should go to the finals are Melinda for being so perfect everytime and Blake for being fun, different and entertaining while having good vocals. But, it will probably be Jordin and and Melinda. Well, I can still hope that the Blaker Girls come through with their voting!

American Idol Top 4 - Results

Tonight we get down to three people. Watch out Kiki!














Paula is getting ready for the show by feeling all over her boobs. Ugh. Better her than me!













They announce the tour dates for the American Idol tour. They'll be in my city for their second show. Oh dear. That will make 3 tours this year I want to go to, Idol, Dancing With The Stars, and So You Think You Can Dance. My poor wallet!














Barry Gibb sings and sounds ok for someone who's doing a pretty good imitation of the Crypt Keeper. And what's up with those huge fake choppers in his mouth!













So the bottom two are Lakisha and Blake. Oh dear.














And as I expected, Lakisha gets the boot. It's back to the bank teller job for her!

American Idol - Top 4

It's a Nosferatu-free Top 4 baby! But my cutie Chris is gone too. I sure hope Blake can continue without his "best friend" there. Barry Gibb is here this week to get the grooves goin. Wow, when did Barry get so OLD!


First up is Melinda Doolittle. Girlfriend worked the song as usual. Simon said it wasn't good enough. Well, good enough for her. If anyone else sang like she did, they'd be up on their feet applauding them.


Next is Blake Lewis singing You Should Be Dancing. I was a bit confused by his beat boxing with this song. I don't think it was as successful as his past ones. Judges weren't too thrilled either. Oops. Poor Blakey!


Lakisha Jones is next singing Staying Alive. That was pretty boring. Sorry Kiki, wasn't too thrilled with it. At least Boobs-A-Poppin were in check. Simon said everyone were heading to the exits after that performance. Heh!


Next is Jordin Sparks. She did a good job. She took the smart route and sang a slower song. Judges said it was the best so far. I agree.



Melinda is back singing How Can You Mend A Broken Heart. I love that song. The first half was pretty boring. But she worked it in the end. Of course she'll be safe this week.


Blake returns with a funky song I've never heard of. This is more of his style. I liked that much better than the first song. Simon gave some serious hate. Said he had a bad night. Blake fans better start dialing!


Lakisha is next with a slower song. Boobs-A-Poppin' are back! She hit some stank notes but did better than her first song. She better get ready for that bottom 2 spot along with Blake.


Jordin is last to sing. She picked a Barba Streisand song so you know she's gonna diva. And she does. Good performance. Simon says it sounds like a beauty pageant performance.

Well, it appears to probably be Blake and Lakisha in the bottom two. I think Blake has enough good performances from previous weeks to stay, but we'll see.
